Matoome operates an online platform via the Matoome mobile and desktop application (the “App”) and the website (the “Website”) located at www.matoome.com, designed to facilitate the discovery, scheduling, and booking of services between Providers and Clients.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, use, transfer, and disclose your personal information when you use our Website or App in any country where Matoome operates. It is intended to comply with major international privacy frameworks such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) applicable in certain Asian jurisdictions, and other globally recognized data protection standards.

Note to International Users
Your personal information may be processed, stored, and transferred by Matoome in the country where it was originally collected, as well as in other jurisdictions where Matoome, its affiliates, or service providers operate — including countries such as the United States, Singapore, or Thailand — where data protection and privacy laws may differ from those in your home country.
By using the Platform and providing your personal information, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your data across international borders in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Matoome applies industry-standard technical, organizational, and contractual safeguards to ensure that your personal data remains protected during international transfers. Where required by local law, Matoome ensures that any third-party service providers handling personal data on its behalf are bound by written agreements that mandate equivalent data protection and security measures.
Child Endangerment
At Matoome, the protection, dignity, and well-being of children are non-negotiable priorities. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward any activity, content, or behavior that could endanger or exploit minors, whether directly or indirectly. All users are required to comply with applicable child protection, anti-trafficking, and cyber-safety laws in every jurisdiction where the Platform operates. The following actions are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to relevant law-enforcement authorities where required:
Creation, possession, distribution, or transmission of any material depicting the exploitation, abuse, or harm of minors.
Any form of grooming, solicitation, predatory contact, or attempts to establish inappropriate relationships with minors.
Sexualization, objectification, or use of minors in adult-oriented or suggestive content.
Threatening, coercing, or blackmailing individuals through a child’s personal images or data (“sextortion”).
Recruitment, trafficking, or solicitation of minors for any commercial, exploitative, or illegal purpose.
Any facilitation, tolerance, or failure to report third-party actions that may harm, exploit, or endanger children, whether online or offline.
Protection of Minors.Users may report any suspicious, exploitative, or harmful activity involving minors directly to
support@matoome.com. All such reports are treated with the highest priority and reviewed promptly by Matoome’s Trust & Safety team. If any content, conduct, or account is found to endanger minors, Matoome will take
immediate corrective action, which may include permanent suspension, content removal, and notification of
law enforcement and child protection authorities in the relevant jurisdiction.
Matoome cooperates fully with
international and local child safety organizations and complies with globally recognized frameworks, including the
UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and corresponding national child-protection laws.
The Platform and its Services are
not intended for or directed to minors. The minimum age required to create an account or use the Services depends on the
age of legal majority in the user’s country or region of residence. In most jurisdictions this is
18 years, but in some (for example, Japan, South Korea, or others) it may be
19 or 20 years.
If the laws of a particular jurisdiction require
verified parental consent for individuals under a certain age, Matoome will comply with such requirements and will not knowingly collect or process personal data from minors without the verified consent of a parent or legal guardian.
If Matoome becomes aware that a minor has provided personal data or created an account in violation of these requirements, the company will
promptly delete such data, restrict access, and disable the account in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Matoome remains committed to maintaining a
safe, transparent, and child-protective environment, regularly reviewing and updating its internal policies and safety standards in line with evolving international best practices.
Definition of “Minor”:For the purposes of this Policy, the term “
minor” refers to any individual who has not yet reached the
age of legal majority as defined by the laws of their country or region of residence. Users are responsible for ensuring that they meet applicable age requirements before using the Matoome Platform or any related Services.

Permissions and APIs
At Matoome, we are committed to full transparency regarding the permissions and APIs used by our application to deliver services safely and efficiently. We only request access to device features and data that are strictly necessaryto ensure proper functionality and enhance user experience.
Before any such access occurs, we will explicitly request your consentin compliance with applicable privacy laws and platform requirements (including the Apple App Store and Google Play developer policies).
We follow the principle of data minimisation — requesting only the minimum level of permissions needed to provide our services and retaining such access only for as long as it is required. Your privacy, safety, and data security remain our highest priorities.
Our app may interact with system-level or third-party APIs that access sensitive data or device functionalities — such as location, camera, microphone, storage, or contacts — solely for legitimate operational purposes and only after obtaining your explicit and revocable consent.
Any information obtained through these APIs is processed locally or securely transmittedusing encrypted communication channels and is used strictly for the purposes you have authorised. Matoome does not sell, rent, or share such data with third parties, except when required by law or to fulfil a service you have requested.
If future app updates modify the nature or scope of permissions or API integrations, we will provide clear advance notice and request renewed consent before implementing such changes.
Users are encouraged to review and manage app permissions at any time through their device settings. You may withdraw or adjust permissions without penalty; however, doing so may limit access to certain app features that depend on the corresponding functionality.
Deceptive Behavior

We provide clear, complete, and truthful descriptions of our app’s purpose, functionality, and capabilities in all associated materials — including app store listings, promotional media, and in-app content. The Matoome Platform does not include or promote any false, exaggerated, or misleading claims, nor does it omit material information that could mislead users about how the app functions or how their data is used.
Our app does not imitate or mimic the user interface, alerts, or notifications of an operating system or other applications. It does not mislead users into performing unintended actions, such as changing device settings or granting permissions without clear and informed consent. Any configuration changes initiated by the app occur only with the user’s explicit knowledge and consentand remain fully reversible at any time through the device settings.
If the Platform employs automated systems, recommendation engines, or AI-driven features, Matoome ensures that such technologies are transparent and used ethically, without manipulation or bias. Their purpose, logic, and effect on user experience are disclosed in clear, understandable terms.
Users may report any suspected deceptive or misleading behavior by contacting support@matoome.com. All reports are reviewed promptly and investigated in good faith. If any deceptive activity or misrepresentation is identified, Matoome will take immediate corrective action, which may include app updates, communication with affected users, and notification to relevant platform authorities.
Matoome is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of honesty, transparency, and compliancein all interactions with users, partners, and platform providers.
We continuously review our content, user interfaces, marketing materials, and technical features to ensure ongoing compliance with Apple App Store Review Guidelines,Google Play Developer Policies, and all applicable consumer protection and advertising regulations.
How We Collect Information
Information You Provide to Us
We collect Personal Information from you in the following ways:
We collect Personal Information that you voluntarily provide when you register for or use the Services. For example, we may collect your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and password when you register for an account (“Account”). This information is collected for legitimate operational purposes such as account creation, communication, and security.
If you are a Provider, we collect the information you submit to create a professional profile (“Profile”), which may include — but is not limited to — details about your services, service location, working hours, experience, restrictions, and availability. Certain Profile details will be visible to Clients and users for the purpose of enabling service bookings.
If you are a Provider, we may also collect documentation for identity verification, such as a government-issued ID and professional certifications. Such information is securely stored and encrypted in our systems and used only for identity verification, fraud prevention, and compliance with applicable local laws and platform safety requirements.
If you send messages through the Services, we collect and process those messages to deliver them to the intended recipient. We may also retain basic message metadata (such as timestamps and delivery status) for technical, safety, and dispute-resolution purposes.
If you have downloaded the App, and only with your explicit consent, the App may access your calendar to help manage appointments and reminders between Clients and Providers. You can revoke this permission at any time via your device settings.
If you enable location services, we may collect and use your approximate or precise location to improve booking accuracy and show Providers or Clients near you. You may disable this feature at any time through your device’s privacy or location settings.
When you communicate with us through the Website, App, or email, we may collect and store information contained in those communications. You can choose not to provide certain information, but doing so may limit access to specific features or functions of our Services.
We may also collect other information not specifically listed here, which will be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection, consistent with applicable privacy regulations.
Information Automatically Collected via Technology
Log Files. Like most online services, we automatically collect and store certain technical information such as IP address, browser type, Internet service provider (“
ISP”), referring/exit pages, operating system, timestamps, and general usage data. This helps us analyse trends, maintain system integrity, detect security issues, and improve the overall user experience.
Cookies. We use “
Cookies” and similar technologies to provide a personalised experience. Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help remember user preferences and improve navigation. We use both session Cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent Cookies (which remain until deleted). You can manage or disable Cookies through your browser or device settings; however, some app or website functions may not work properly if you do so.
Pixel Tags. We may use “
Pixel Tags” (also called web beacons or clear GIFs) to understand how users interact with our content and communications. Pixel Tags allow us to confirm whether emails were opened and to measure the effectiveness of our outreach. We do not associate this data with personally identifiable information.
Mobile Device. When you use the App, we may collect limited information about your device (such as model, operating system version, unique device ID, and network information). In the event of an app crash, anonymised diagnostic data may be transmitted to help us identify and fix technical issues. Access to sensitive device functions (such as the camera, photo library, or microphone) occurs only with your consent and solely to enable intended features.
Analytics Services and Advertising. We use trusted third-party analytics services (for example, Google Analytics or Firebase) to evaluate usage patterns and improve app performance. These providers may use Cookies or similar tools to collect non-personal statistical data. Analytics information is used internally and is not employed to personally identify users. Each provider’s handling of data is governed by its own privacy policy and service terms. You can adjust ad-personalisation preferences in your device settings or by visiting
Google Ads Settings.
Information Collected by Our Payment Processor
When you make or receive payments through our Services, our authorised third-party payment processor collects the data required to complete the transaction — including your name, payment-method details (e.g. credit/debit card or e-wallet), and billing address. Matoome does not directly store or process your payment credentials. All payment information is handled in compliance with
PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and the processor’s own Privacy Policy to ensure data protection and transaction security.

We retain full discretion to use or disclose anonymised and aggregated information, provided that such use does not reveal any personally identifiable data.
How We Disclose Information
We may disclose or share your Personal Information in the circumstances described below, always in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws, and only to the extent necessary to provide, operate, and protect the Services:
Third Parties Designated by You.When you use the Services, the Personal Information you provide may be shared with third parties that you have expressly authorized or interacted with. For example, if you invite another user to an appointment, calendar event, or chat, the necessary details (such as your name or contact information) may be made available to them for coordination purposes.

Corporate Restructuring. We may transfer or disclose some or all Personal Information as part of or in connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, investment, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. In the event of insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership, your Personal Information may be treated as a business asset and transferred to another entity. Any successor entity will be required to respect the commitments described in this Privacy Policy.
Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights. We may disclose Personal Information if we believe, in good faith, that such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes (such as subpoenas or court orders); (b) cooperate with government or law enforcement authorities; (c) protect our legal rights, property, or safety, or those of our users or others; (d) prevent, investigate, or address fraud, security issues, or illegal activity; or (e) enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements.
Aggregated and Non-Identifiable Information. We may share aggregated or de-identified information (which cannot reasonably identify you) with partners, advertisers, or analytics providers for business, research, or statistical purposes. Such information will not include any personally identifiable data.
We do not sell or rent users’ Personal Information to third parties. Any sharing of information is conducted under strict confidentiality and data-security requirements, and only when it is reasonably necessary for the operation, protection, or legal compliance of the Matoome Platform.
Your Choices Regarding Your Information
You have control over how your Personal Information is managed, used, and shared within the Matoome Platform. We provide various options that allow you to review, update, limit, or delete your data, as well as manage communications and app permissions.
Changing or Deleting Your Personal Information. You can review or edit certain Personal Information by logging into your Account through the Website or App. Some data, such as verification records or transaction history, may be restricted from modification to ensure integrity and compliance. You may request Account deactivation at any time by contacting our support team. Once deactivated, your Account will no longer be accessible to you or others. However, we may retain certain information for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate operational purposes, such as fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and compliance with financial or tax obligations.
Application. You can stop all collection of information by the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. You may use the standard uninstall process available on your mobile device or through the relevant app marketplace. Uninstalling the App does not automatically delete your Account data; to fully remove your profile, please contact support@matoome.com.
Email and Notification Preferences. We may occasionally send you newsletters, updates, or promotional materials to enhance your experience or inform you about new features. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link in our emails or adjusting your notification settings in the App. Please note that we may still send you essential service-related communications — such as booking confirmations, account notices, and policy updates — even if you opt out of promotional emails.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies. You may manage or disable Cookies and similar technologies through your browser or device settings. If you disable Cookies, some features or sections of the Website and App may not function properly. Refer to your browser’s or device’s help section for instructions on managing Cookie preferences. By continuing to use our Services without disabling Cookies, you consent to their use as described in this Privacy Policy.
Location and Device Permissions. You may control or revoke access to your device’s location, camera, microphone, or photo library at any time through your device settings. Disabling these permissions may limit certain App functionalities (such as map features or photo uploads), but the core features of your Account will remain available.
